Facts about Treasuries...

Here are a few things you might not know about treasuries...

1. There is a Treasury and a Treasury west for showcasing items found on Etsy. To read more about the Treasuries click here.

2. You can plan your treasury in poster sketch before catching it so you will be ready.

3. If you have seen Etsy users telling people that they C & C'd their treasury and wonder what that means... This means that they clicked each of the 12 items once and commented on the treasury, the more clicks and the more comments make the treasury hotter which can sometimes lead to being on the Front Page. In the top right hand corner above each image in the treasury you will see a number, that is how many times that item was viewed or clicked. When you have 10 comments you should have 10 clicks per item.

4. Also, when you create a treasury, you can click 12 times for your own treasury and it counts.

5. Treasuries are hard to catch. This is why we sometimes say we are stalking them, hunting them, and catching them. I've just discovered the Treasury Clock, a much easier way to find out when the treasuries will be opening. Hopefully we can catch them easier with this cool tool.

6. Wondering if you are in a treasury ? Here are 2 ways to check. On Etsy when you are looking at the Treasury or Treasury West, view each page, if you are in a treasury it shows you a gold star in between the title and curator, if you are an alternate you will see a silver star. Also you can visit the Treasure Hunt which will list any treasuries you are featured in.

7. If you create a POE Team Treasury or Treasury West that has POE Team members in it, or if you are in one, please send your treasury links to Wanda of wlotus. She will send a message out to our Yahoo Group each day and our members can click and comment on them.

8. To see a few great tips on how to get into treasuries, click here.

Here are 3 treasuries I have made in the past featuring the POE Team.

Do you have more tips that I haven't mentioned here, please share in the comments! Treasuries are so much fun to create, if you've never made one I hope you will try it at least once. I challenge everyone to create at least one POE Team themed treasury.

when you're waiting for the treasury to open, never never never hit 'refresh' in your browser window.

The best way to be ready is to sort the treasuries by date, by clicking on "expiration" ... make sure the oldest treasury is at the top of the list on page one.

You will see something like "will expire in 10 minutes" .. and it will count down from there. Rather than refresh, use your mouse to click on page 1, then click the page number '2' along the top row of the treasury. you can click back and forth between 1 and 2 to see the clock counting down... the last treasury will expire.... and it will take a few seconds ... it says "expired" .... there is usually a few second pause.... then the number will change to 332.... (or 221) ...

scroll down to the bottom and have your title ready to type in .... then hit the enter key rather than click with your mouse here. sometimes clicking with the mouse can take you right out of the treasury page and then you'll be sitting there crying into your keyboard lol...
