Wanderings: the Pacific Northwest

Vancouver Skyline 2-mattallen

My husband and I are the worst at making decisions sometimes. If you are ever out with us when trying to decide on a spot to eat dinner at, we are sure to drive you crazy. Which movie are we planning to see that night? Forget it! By the time we make up our minds, we've missed most of the good showings!

When we knew we wanted to leave our hometown of Norfolk, VA, we went back and forth for months with Los Angeles, Rhode Island or New York City. Well, we've been here in L.A. for well over 3 years now and I am starting to get the itch to change our scenery again.

Currently we are torturing ourselves with ideas of either:
  1. a small move to the coastline, Venice Beach is on our radar.
  2. a larger move to Portland, OR because it is so beautiful and charming!
  3. or the BIG move back east. Should we head back to our beloved east coast and settle down for awhile?
The Pacific Northwest is definitely an incredible place. We think we would really enjoy living there if we ever decided to make it our home for a while. But I am a bit homesick, so who knows where we will end up. As part of my research on the area I wanted to see what life would be like up north and what we are missing out on.
