Smile...It's Mardi Gras Day-DarrylGlade
With Mardi Gras just around the corner, February 24th, I was curious to see which POE peeps were lucky enough to have experienced this extravagant event. I've always wanted to go to a real Mardi Gras celebration. I am so jealous of my hubby who was fortunate enough to have gone while in grad school in Louisiana. So I will have to live vicariously through you all, and imagine myself in the middle of the French Quarter, begging for beads and stuffing my face with Cafe Du Monde's famous beignets.
Since Mardi Gras celebrations are happening all over the globe, I focused my search not just on New Orleans but all things Carnival. I found some fabulous POE captures that reflect this vibrant celebration.
