Vancouver Skyline 2-mattallen
My husband and I are the worst at making decisions sometimes. If you are ever out with us when trying to decide on a spot to eat dinner at, we are sure to drive you crazy. Which movie are we planning to see that night? Forget it! By the time we make up our minds, we've missed most of the good showings!
When we knew we wanted to leave our hometown of Norfolk, VA, we went back and forth for months with Los Angeles, Rhode Island or New York City. Well, we've been here in L.A. for well over 3 years now and I am starting to get the itch to change our scenery again.
Michelle Campbell-Zurek is an artist/photographer from the east coast who is wide-eyed and smitten with the crazy town called L. A. When not on a quest to capture light and stop time, she can be found painting and ingesting gobs of sweets & tea. All are welcome to stop by the Urban Junkies Artist Lounge, as well as Michelle's photography shop, art shop and website.
Currently we are torturing ourselves with ideas of either:
- a small move to the coastline, Venice Beach is on our radar.
- a larger move to Portland, OR because it is so beautiful and charming!
- or the BIG move back east. Should we head back to our beloved east coast and settle down for awhile?
The Pacific Northwest is definitely an incredible place. We think we would really enjoy living there if we ever decided to make it our home for a while. But I am a bit homesick, so who knows where we will end up. As part of my research on the area I wanted to see what life would be like up north and what we are missing out on.

Michelle, you and your husband sounds a lot like me and mine! We are also trying to decide our next move (and we have the same restaurant/movie issues!).
I love your picks this week. Really wonderful! And as a long-time resident of Utah/the West, I can say that it's hard to take the East Coast out of the girl.....just food for thought.
