What a Photographer Wants

Leather and wool square album, beautiful work from a Brooklyn-based artist, Brooklynbookbinder.

Have you noticed a direct correlation between an increased interest in photography with the desire to acquire cool photography-related accessories and doodads? I know I have! The perfect camera bag just has to exist. I did a little poking around on Etsy.com and found a few things you've probably been wanting and thinking about getting for yourself. Go ahead and treat yourself to some great stuff, all available on Etsy.

Custom frame up to 11x14, created by POE's own buckscountyframes. Be sure to check out the entire selection of styles and colors.

Custom camera lens bag. It can be made to your specifications. This shop has a great reputation for producing quality bags. Check out xcessrize for more information.

Vintage unisex carryon bag from American Tourister. this one is in fantastic shape and such a versatile style from jessjamesjake.

Camera strap for your DSLR. Unique fabric, hand-printed by the artist, stitchindye.

Vintage Fisher Price toy camera. For a beloved little one who loves to take pictures right with you (or perhaps a guilty pleasure for you; we won't tell). This comes from GreenCleanToys' shop.

If you've found a great shop, give them a shout-out here.

A world traveler and self-taught photographer, look for Ann wandering around city streets and tromping through woods and hiking trails with her camera. After owning an international transportation business for many years, Ann has found her creative spirit again through the lens. See more at Ann's shop and her website.

I bought a custom made 10x10 frame from Paradise Hill Designs to frame Fence Sitting as a Christmas gift for my dad. It was an awesome match, and the customer service from Paradise Hill was stellar. You can see the final product here (ok, so it's kind of a sad little cell phone pic).

Also, some of us would rather our photography doodads & goodies are animal product free. Does anyone have suggestions for fabulous albums not made of animals? I'd appreciate it!

Love the first bag - I have yet to find a bag that properly houses my lenses but still looks good, but I just may have found one now! Thanks :)
