From the Collaboratory

Saying I'm overdue for a post is 'way beyond understatement. Let's just say this whole new dashboard is, well, new to to me. My last post was March 2011, if memory serves.

Since then, much has happened, including acceptance into a couple of juried shows. Very exciting. But I've also become super-conscious of how much there is to learn. That has led to some workshops and study. Long way to go. 

One thing I have learned, though, is to appreciate is the Northwest's bright overcast, which most of us complain about throughout much of the year. For photographers, though, it's what award-winning photographer Thomas Sawtell characterizes as "a giant diffuser." Here are some images from our area to illustrate what he means.
